My name is Robert (Bob) Roche. You may know me from my YouTube channel or Twitter. I would say that I’m known best for my hackintosh content, but I also produce other content such as unboxings, reviews, tutorials, and more! I’m sure you have somewhat of an idea of who I am now, so let me tell you about how I got to where I am today.

My passion for technology started around 2005, when I got my hands on the PSP. This was my first mobile device, as I was only in seventh grade. Once I got bored of the game selection, I got into the hacking scene for the first time. The potential of the hacks and the ability to run homebrew games amazed me. This is the spark that started my YouTube channel! My first videos were hacking videos, such as downgrading and installing custom firmwares. To this day, those videos are some of my most viewed!

It was the next year in 2006 that I got my first PC, which I got beacuse I was sick of asking to use my father’s computer all the time. This computer got me interested in learning about computers, inside and out. Once 2007 rolled around, Apple was releasing Mac OS X Leopard, which got me to turn my head into the Apple world. Paying close attention to this, I persuaded my mother to get a MacBook in 2008. Using Mac OS X changed the way I looked at my computer. Once I used a MacBook for the first time, I didn’t want to go back to using Windows.

Since Apple had just switched to the Intel architecture a few years before, the hackintosh scene was still relatively new. I got wind of this possibility and gave it a shot on my PC. Since my computer’s hardware wasn’t the greatest, the experiment was never anything more than that- an experiment. Stuck on Windows, I decided to start making YouTube videos regularly using the MacBook’s built-in iSight camera. Once I started to get into video editing, I started looking at getting a Mac for myself. Since I was just a kid in high school, my money situation wasn’t the greatest. Using my dual core PC, I produced videos until 2010, my high school graduation year. Since graduation lead to a good amount of money, I decided that this was my opportunity for a new computer! After researching and considering my options, I decided that a hackintosh was the way to go. This decision was the start of my more modern content. The response from this content was so great that I became a YouTube partner in January of 2011. Since then, I’ve been producing my best content to date, all thanks to my hackintosh!

Well, that’s how I got to where I am now. With my YouTube channel growing rapidly, it’s safe to say that I love what I do. Producing YouTube content has given me a ton of great opportunities and has allowed me to learn an abundance of information along the way. I really appreciate the audience I have on YouTube and all the friends that I’ve made. Thanks for watching and reading!
